Shamisen Toyotomi
She was born in 1939.Her specialty is Edo-Hauta and Shamisen. She releases same books and CD which name are "Anthology of Hauta" (No.1 to no.16), "Manual of Wayou-ensemble"(6 books;nursery rhyme, world folk song, Zokkyoku, classic, classical popular song, beginner of Shamisen) , "New album of Hauta", "Anthology of Hauta"(CD;No.1 to No.3 by Victor). While She engages in lifelong study and international exchange class as NHK's cultural lecturer,She teachs Shamisen to public school students from 2000 and created the new genre that is performed with students seven stage a year. She teaches nursery rhyme to Junior high school students at whole Japan music education society competition in 2009.


One of Shamisen songs "What is Edo-Hauta?"
It is a Shamisen song from middle term of Edo to end of Edo era that becomes popular in Edo city which is in sympathy with the common people.
There are not a gap of age. Original songs flavored with Edo style.
Edo-Hauta is collected into short song, light and vivid that matches with Edo People's feeling. Edo-Uta is unique entertainments more than artistry. Utasawa and Kouta derivation from Hauta.


One of the Shamisen song "What is Zokkyoku?"
Which is popular song for the common people from end of Edo era to Taisho era.
Comic storyteller release a new song to please guest at Yose stage, and That song is popular by guest. Another one, as Ozashiki-Uta, Geisha and comedian spread at the revel. Those songs are almost "Hauta" or "Zokkyoku".
The custom of the old revel, At first Geisha sing a Hauta with Shamisen.
Geisha starts to sing a song and dance that named "Ozatuki". That set off Nodojiman(;Karaoke, singing contest).
